Lynn's Paradise Cafe

Friday night we had a night on the town. We went to Lynn's Paradise Cafe. This Cafe has been on food network shows mostly for its quirkiness.

Lynn's Paradise Cafe is very Kentucky. They serve the Hot Brown dish, which is a Kentucky Tradition. They have Derby Pie. And the beef is all raised in Kentucky and the cows eat the Kentucky blue grass (They made sure to mention that on their menu I thought it was hilarious)!
The Hot Brown, technically a sandwich. It was on Sour Dough bread at the bottom with turkey, topped with lots of cheese (as you can see) and tomato and bacon it was surprisingly amazing!!

My dish was grilled catfish and fries, in the middle is some banana pudding and then the hot brown. A yummy Southern meal!!

It was VERY kid friendly, they gave Casin all kinds of stuff to play with and the waitress was so friendly.

Casin loves Elephants so he was excited to see one there!

Messing around in the Gift Shop.

All this stuff was outside the Cafe.

Casin Babysat

We babysat one of Casins friends Kiya (he calls her kaka) and her little brother.

Casin was so excited all day long to babysit the baby, it is adorable how much he loves babies!

Casin had his first trip to the hospital yesterday. I took him into the pediatrician because he has been randomly throwing up with no fever, cough or runny nose so I figured the puking wasn't a big deal and he hasn't really been pooping and he would scream and cry when he did use the bathroom. He was also just super fussy and really groggy. I decided to take him into the Dr., luckily I had been given some recommendations from ladies in my ward! So I have been reluctant at taking him because they always just say go home and drink lots of fluids and he is fine.

So into the Dr. we went, just for good measure (I thought). When I talked to the Dr. he said we need to get him x-rayed and get some lab work done right away for him, he said that there is probably nothing to worry about and that he is just constipated but we need to make sure. So into the hospital we went. It was a childrens hospital and they did such a good job with him and made him and me feel comfortable. He had the x-rays first, which he didn't like at all but that was the easy part. Then he got his little arm poked, I did not like that at all for him! After we were done though they gave him a blue slushy and some stickers, he thought that was pretty cool the whole way home he just kept taking sips and saying "mmmm, juice" I am so happy they  gave him the slushy it made his day!

We got home and I figured I wouldn't hear back from the Dr. even though he said we might hear back tonight. I just thought oh it won't be a big deal and I won't even hear until later in the afternoon the next day, I kept my phone close by though just in case! Sure enough about 7:00 they called me and said "Well, his lab work is good" so then they said that his x-ray came back and that there is a very large stool and told me that this is something that kids come in for a lot but there lab tech guy usually tells them it is a moderate stool, and that they very rarely hear him say large, so they told me that this needed my attention immediately and to get it all cleaned out for him. So tonight we will be starting enemas, I swear when I signed up to be a mom no where in the job description did it say will need to do enemas. Must have been in the fine print somewhere :)

I guess we will see how the next few days go and hope that he gets all cleaned out! I feel so bad for the little guy especially since I have just been putting it off and putting it off! No wonder he has been so miserable!

Here he is in the waiting room at the hospital. He had fun waiting around and playing the "caw"
